Experienced diagnosis and repair of gas and electric commercial ovens, ranges, and combination units. We get to the root of the problem and fix it properly.
Commercial ovens are among the hardest-working pieces of equipment in any professional kitchen. When they develop faults — whether gradual temperature drift, ignition failure, or an outright breakdown — the impact on service can be immediate and significant. Our approach is to diagnose accurately before recommending any repair work.
We work on a wide range of oven types used in commercial catering, including gas and electric deck ovens, combination ovens (combi-steamers), convection ovens, commercial ranges, and pizza ovens. We cover most major manufacturers including Rational, Convotherm, MKN, Lincat, Blue Seal, Falcon, Garland, and many others.
Over many years working on commercial ovens, we have seen the same issues arise repeatedly across different brands and types. Understanding these patterns helps us diagnose more efficiently and arrive better prepared.
Gas ovens that will not light, require multiple attempts, or only light intermittently. Often related to igniters, thermocouples, or gas valves.
Oven running too hot, too cold, or inconsistently. Usually a thermostat fault, probe failure, or calibration issue.
Control board error displays on combination ovens and modern commercial ranges. We read, interpret, and resolve the underlying fault.
Convection ovens with fan motor failure or uneven heat distribution. Element testing and replacement where required.
Heat loss through deteriorated door seals or misaligned hinges. Replacement and adjustment to restore energy efficiency and temperature accuracy.
Scale buildup, water inlet faults, and steam generation failures in combination ovens. Descaling and component replacement.
Before any work begins, we carry out a thorough inspection and diagnostics. We explain what we have found, what we propose to do, and the approximate cost. We do not start repair work without your agreement.
For gas appliances, all work is carried out in accordance with Gas Safe requirements. We do not compromise on safety standards, regardless of time pressures.
After the repair, we test the equipment thoroughly — checking temperatures against calibration, verifying ignition, and running a functional check before leaving site. A service record is issued confirming the work carried out.
Gas-connected ovens must only be worked on by Gas Safe registered engineers. Our relevant technicians hold the appropriate registration and can provide documentation on request. We are also mindful of ventilation requirements, emergency shut-off systems, and the condition of gas hoses and connections during every visit.
For electric ovens, we work safely with the appropriate isolation procedures and ensure any work carried out meets current wiring regulations where applicable.
Realistic Expectations: Most oven faults can be resolved in a single visit. Where parts need to be ordered, we will give you a clear timeline. We do not promise same-day repairs as standard, but we do aim to minimise disruption to your operation as much as possible.
We will assess the situation and advise on the most practical course of action.
